ABA: The American Bankers Association
Act

Servicemembers Civil Relief Act

The SCRA is designed to ease the legal and financial burdens on servicemembers and their families caused by the demands of active duty.

The goal is to let servicemembers “devote their entire energy to the defense needs of the nation” by ensuring that financial concerns do not overwhelm servicemembers. The law generally applies to obligations incurred before active duty and temporarily suspends certain legal and administrative proceedings.
