ABA Unveils New and Improved Frontline Bank Compliance Training

Banking industry's most widely used training now features new interactive content and enhanced user experience

WASHINGTON —

The American Bankers Association today relaunched its industry leading ABA Frontline Compliance Training, offering ABA member banks nearly 150 updated courses on essential banking topics ranging from anti-money laundering to information security and privacy. The comprehensive suite of Frontline Compliance courses features new content and modernized technology, including a seamless user experience across all types of devices, an interactive format that allows users to choose their own learning path, and a curriculum featuring immediately applicable on-the-job scenarios. Approximately 1,500 banks already use Frontline training today, making it the most widely used bank compliance training in the industry. As a benefit of membership, ABA members receive unlimited access to this training at no cost.

“For years, ABA Frontline Compliance Training has been an incredible resource for ABA members and their employees – in 2023 alone this comprehensive training generated savings of more than $6 million for member banks across the country,” said Rob Nichols, ABA president and CEO. “This updated suite of courses will be even more valuable for ABA members and easier to use. From tellers to loan officers and members of the finance team, bank employees will find valuable training that will help them succeed in whatever role they play at the bank.”

Redesigned for today’s learner, the new training incorporates the most advanced Learning Management System technology and provides flexibility to choose trainings tailored for a user's specific bank. There are also improved reporting options that can be automated and customized.

“After consulting with member banks, we included several new topics while fine-tuning our existing gold-standard courses with the latest training innovations,” said Russell Davis, ABA’s executive vice president of member engagement. “The courses were developed and curated by some of the industry’s leading compliance experts, so bankers can be confident they are learning the most important and up-to-date information in each distinct subject area.”

Banks use ABA Frontline Compliance Training to keep their staff up-to-date on compliance requirements, track progress, run reports prior to examinations, and protect their bottom line. More than 3.7 million courses have been completed by more than 250,000 bankers in the last 12 months alone.
