In August 2020, United Community Bank established the United Community Bank Foundation with a million investment from fees processing Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans. We also developed our inaugural Employee Volunteer Council, “Together for Good.”The United Community Bank Foundation and Together for Good Council were launched to address the critical need of improving the financial health of the local communities we serve and deepening our commitment to "leaving the world a little better than we found it." The COVID-19 pandemic served as a catalyst for a new era of community engagement at United Community Bank — we created frameworks that would help our bankers make an impact in meaningful ways and for generations to come.
