Supporting the Disability Community

 BOSMA Visionary Opportunities Foundation’s mission is to create opportunities for people who are blind or visually impaired through programs designed to adapt to the needs, abilities, and goals of each individual. BOSMA offers participants services such as intensive vision rehabilitation, in-home rehabilitation for seniors with new or worsening vision loss, career and job development for working-age adults who are blind or visually impaired and early interventions pre-employment training and job experiences for youth who are blind or visually impaired. Regions Bank has funded BOSMA’s mission since 2021, and in 2023 the Regions Foundation, an Alabama-based nonprofit funded primarily by Regions Bank, saw an opportunity to grow this relationship and elevate access, advance economic opportunity and promote inclusivity for people with disabilities through supporting BOSMA’s workforce training program. Regions Next Step Ambassadors provided financial education to participants through the Money Basics for Life curriculum, specifically designed for people with disabilities. Our relationship with BOSMA continues to grow, with the Indianapolis market holding its Quarterly Officers Meeting at BOSMA, then using the time after the meeting to assemble hygiene kits and fold stuffed eye masks for BOSMA events. https://doingmoretoday.com/elevating-accessibility-and-confidence/
