Operation Welcome Home

United Bank gives honor and thanks to the men and women who have given so much for this country and our communities. United has long-standing partnerships with community organizations that serve our Veterans such as Operation Welcome Home in Morgantown, West Virginia. Operation Welcome Home has been a formalized Premier Partner of United since 2017. They are a nonprofit job placement organization dedicated to helping veterans and their families’ overcome barriers to employment and providing them with the knowledge and resources needed to secure a fulfilling position in the civilian workforce. In 2022, Operation Welcome Home assisted over 2,000 veterans find employment. United's Morgantown Market President currently serves on their board of directors and numerous employees have been instrumental in the organization’s fundraising efforts. Employees participate in fundraising activities annually, such as the annual Grand Bash, a fundraising event that gives away over $800,000 in cash and prizes through purchased raffle tickets. Employees worked with all money flowing in and out of the event throughout the day and coordinated cash pickups with the local United retail branch. To further support our Veterans, United now offers a Veterans Checking account. It provides our best account features in honor and thanks to Veterans, Active-Duty Military, and Military Families, with no minimum balance requirement or monthly fee.
