Jamaica Hospital Funding

Maspeth Federal Savings (MFS) helped to fund the Maspeth Federal Savings Pediatric Ophthalmology Center at Jamaica Hospital with a contribution of $1 million—the largest in company history. When the center opened in December of 2022, it became the first of its kind in Queens, serving a vital role in the borough by providing world-class, comprehensive ophthalmologic care to an under-resourced community.

Since then, the center has had substantial impacts on local families, both economically and educationally. Wait times have been cut from months to weeks (if that), enabling children to thrive at school with proper vision care and reducing the need for local families to take time off from work and school to travel for specialized care.

At Maspeth Federal Savings, we consider this project to be our most significant community effort to date, with lasting effects that we believe will nurture our community for generations to come.
