Community Promise Month

Community Promise Month is an enterprise-wide initiative to promote volunteerism & community engagement in associates' communities throughout the month of April. During this initiative, intentional in-person volunteer efforts are planned alongside nonprofit partners in each of Busey's geographic markets for group activities called "Volunteer Impact Projects". These markets and projects span across Busey's footprint of Illinois, Indiana, Missouri & Florida. Individual efforts to give back for virtual associates are also hosted, like packing "Give Back Bags" which allowed associates to create kits to keep in their cars to provide to individuals facing homelessness. In addition to giving time, Community Promise Month provides the opportunity for a give-back grant initiative, where Busey offers donation matches to organizations where associates have given their time or money to throughout the month.
