When our founder, Jesus S. Leon Guerrero, established Bank of Guam in 1972, he had a grand vision to bring financial prosperity to the people of our island. Over the past five decades, our bank has not only provided financial products, but also works to equip the people of Guam with essential life skills through our Financial Empowerment Program. This program, led by our Corporate Social Responsibility team and supported by departments within the bank, has positively impacted over 23,000 lives in our communities.

Since 2017, our Financial Empowerment Program has reached over 15,000 high school students, over 3,000 young children, and over 5,000 adults. This achievement encompasses over 500 high school presentations, over 200 presentations for young children, and over 350 presentations to adults. These sessions aim to provide education and support to those most in need.

Our presentations are delivered to diverse communities, including high school students across Micronesia, low-income areas, elementary and middle schools in Guam, non-profit organizations assisting abused women and reformed prisoners, government agencies such as the Department of Youth Affairs, individuals seeking marriage counseling, those with disabilities, and underprivileged areas of Guam.

At Bank of Guam, we are committed to making a lasting impact by empowering individuals and communities with financial knowledge and resources. Our program stands as a testament to our dedication to the prosperity and well-being of the people we serve, and the vision originally set forth by our founder.
