On January 17, 2018, the CFPB announced its plans to publish a series of Requests for Information (RFIs) seeking comment on its enforcement, supervisory, rulemaking, market monitoring, and educational activities. The Bureau described the RFIs as a call for evidence to ensure the Bureau is fulfilling its statutory requirement to protect consumers, and an invitation to the public "to submit feedback and suggest ways to improve outcomes for both consumers and covered entities."
