For Customers who Purchase Employment Practices Liability Insurance

This password-protected Web site provides over 2,500 pages of useful HR forms, employee policies, reference manuals and more--all prepared by Littler attorneys.

Employment Practices Helpline
Call the Employment Practices Helpline to talk to an experienced employment law attorney from Littler about employee discipline and terminations, sick leave, attendance, harassment claims, conducting investigations, or other workplace or employment law issues. Attorneys from Littler are available to:
  • Guide you through the proper steps with respect to personnel actions;
  • Answer employment-related legal questions; and
  • Identify the best approach to investigate, document and resolve workplace issues/disputes.

How do I access the Employment Practices Helpline?
It's simple. Just call the Helpline and identify yourself as a Progressive insured. An experienced employment attorney will assist you with your employment or labor law question or concern. Or you can email your question.

Is there a limit to the number of calls I can make or advice I can receive?
There is no limit to the number of calls; however, the Helpline does not provide advice in connection with active litigation, reviewing or drafting documents, transactional work, trade secrets/covenants-not-to-compete, ERISA matters, on-going advice matters, wage and hour issues or advice requiring significant legal research.

Who is Littler Mendelson?
Littler is the nation's largest employment and labor law firm. With over 750 employment attorneys and 45 offices, Littler is uniquely positioned to assist your bank in navigating through the maze of complex employment law issues and regulations. Littler attorneys draw upon extensive experience and resources to provide strategic guidance and help you reduce your exposure to employment-related liability. For more about Littler, call Brian McMillan at 408-998-4150 or visit
www.littler.com.

Are my conversations with Littler confidential?
Yes. Your communications with the attorneys will be protected by the attorney-client privilege. No details of the communication or advice given will be disclosed to Progressive or your agent. After receiving Helpline assistance, there will be no continuing attorney-client relationship with Littler until you call again or choose to enter into a formal engagement agreement for other services.

Should I contact Littler to give notice of an EPLI claim?
No. Information provided to Littler does not constitute notice of a claim to Progressive. Claims must be reported directly to Progressive per the terms of your insurance policy.

What materials are available at HRriskmanager.com?
While you are insured by Progressive, you can access and download powerful tools including model employee handbooks, The HR Form Library, state and federal employment law reference manuals, The Hire & Fire Guide, employment law news alerts, employment law training, the "Preventing Harassment in the Workplace Manual," and much more.

Resources specific to banks address: Employee Accounts and Personal Finances, Checking Accounts, Prohibited Transactions, Elder Financial Abuse, Proprietary Information, Return of Bank Property, Extension of Credit to Relatives, and Fiduciary Appointments.

What other benefits are available with this service?
As an additional benefit to Progressive's insureds, Littler will conduct employment practices audits or employment law training seminars for your staff at discounted rates.
